When your physician orders a test, the results are provided to him or to her. Physicians will contact patients with any important result information. For routine or preventive testing, many physicians will send postcards with result information. Generally, any abnormal result or any result of concern will be communicated directly to you by telephone or in person. Be sure to discuss with your physician, at the time of your visit, how best he or she might communicate with you.
If you have concerns or questions about your test results, or haven’t heard from your physician, contact your physician directly and ask to speak with the clinical services staff. You are also welcome to contact our customer service department at 510-785-5000 or info@bvmed.com.
