Eric. S. Kohleriter, M.D.

President and Medical Director

Eric Kohleriter, M.D. serves as President and Medical Director of Bay Valley Medical Group. He has been practicing Internal Medicine at the group since 1978 and previously served as Associate Medical Director and a member of the Board of Directors since 1995.

He has served in numerous leadership capacities over the past two decades: President, Medical Staff and Executive Committee, St. Rose Hospital, 1996-2000; Chief of Medicine, St. Rose Hospital, 1985-1987; Board of Trustees, St. Rose Hospital, currently, as well as 1987-1993. He has also served on the Physicians Advisory Committee of Lifeguard Healthplan during the years 1993-1996.

During the past 20 years he has chaired the Bioethics Case Consultation Committee at St. Rose Hospital and has presented at CME conferences as well as moderating panels regarding managed care and bioethics. He is in a unique position to have experience with the evolving changes in health care from both a clinical and administrative perspective.

Dr. Kohleriter is board-certified in internal medicine and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
