Bay Valley Medical Group offers on-site ancillary services at many of its locations. With “one-stop shopping,” we strive to provide patients with convenience and service.
Bay Valley Medical Group’s clinic sites in Castro Valley, Danville, Hayward and Pleasanton offer laboratory services for most tests. Blood draws and specimens are collected in the office by trained personnel. Tests are run either at the main laboratory in Hayward or at a reference lab with which Bay Valley Medical Group and the patient’s health plan is contracted. Either way, results are available to physicians and patients in a timely fashion. Physicians or their clinical services staff will contact patients to communicate any important information and to discuss any necessary follow-up care.
Affiliate physician offices have an option of utilizing the main laboratory in Hayward or a reference lab. They will refer their patients to such laboratory for drawing blood or collecting specimens. In general, laboratory draw stations are located near by the affiliate physician office. Results are communicated directly to the affiliate physician who will then contact patients as warranted.
Bay Valley Medical Group has a radiology department in its Hayward office offering x-rays, mammograms, ultrasound and bone densitometry. There is an in-house radiologist available to patients and to referring physicians. The Danville site offers x-ray. Patients at all other office locations, will be referred to either Bay Valley Medical Group’s radiology department or to a facility that is contracted with BVMG and with the patient’s health plan. Test results are provided to the ordering physician who will then contact the patient with any important information.
Hayward Pharmacy is an independent, community-based pharmacy that is located in the lobby of Bay Valley Medical Group’s Hayward site. Pharmacists and staff are available Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm to assist any patients as well as the general public. The staff works closely with Bay Valley Medical Group physicians to insure that patients receive the utmost in care and service. The telephone number is 510-783-5532.
